Problem solving
What does this involve?
Sometimes, when we’re struggling, coming up with solutions to our problems can be overwhelming. Trying to untangle what we’re feeling and why can be hard.
This exercise will help you think in more detail about something that's troubling you, and why it might be a problem for you.
You'll then think of potential solutions and weigh up each one, before choosing a solution to take forward.
This exercise won't tell you what you should do or give any advice.
It might help you come up with some potential solutions yourself by giving you space to think and guiding you through some problem-solving techniques.
When shouldn’t I do this?
If you are currently in distress or feel as though you are unable to cope, then a relaxation exercise may be more helpful at this time.
