About Samaritans Self-Help

Samaritans Self-Help is an app that can help you find and learn safe and relevant techniques for coping with things that are bothering you, and to keep yourself safe in the event of crisis. It provides a way for you to work through whatever's troubling you if you're not sure you want to speak to a volunteer. If you decide you would like to speak to someone, you can find our contact details throughout the app - call us for free on 116 123, or visit
our website to find out about other ways to get in touch with us.

The app contains a library of interactive and relaxation techniques which will be updated regularly. These are based on evidence about what helps people cope with difficult feelings, including suicidal thoughts.

The design and development of the app have been funded by Nominet, the National Lottery Community Fund and the Peter and Teresa Harris Charitable Trust, and carried out by Snook, Artifactual and Developer Society.
